We had a very busy evening, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves enormously.

List of attendees: Heather, Lois, Mary Rose, Maxine, Ann, Katherine, Annette, Reesa, Carolyn, Pam, Gladys, Rick, Val, Don, Sarah, Erica, Cheryl, Hazel, Louise, Dan, Pat & Christine (neither of which are shown, which was not an oversight!) and Michelle and Julie who came a little later.

Here are some pictures of the Winnipeg Pingfest, held at The Round Table, Winnipeg on July 24, 1998.

Maxine and Heather (foreground) are plotting how to get Don (background) for daring to say that "Coronation Street" is like "Days of Our Lives"!

At this point, we can't see Don. But notice that the girls are all looking pleased with themselves? He's been hog tied and stuffed under the table!

Dan Jahns-Kraak was obviously ashamed to be one of only three men in attendance!

After a delicous dinner, we got down to the serious business of opening tacky gifts.

Here's Annette, opening a beautiful shaving mug, that was taken away from her in no time.

Now it is Cheryl's turn.

She's admiring her new plastic blue-polka-dotted rain bonnet! Try as we might, we couldn't get her to model it for us.

I think Annette was luckier with this gift.

Katherine is opening her wonderful "Hilda Ogden" bucket, full of useful things from cleaning solutions to hair rollers. Needless to say, she lost that!

I think she got to keep it, which is a great surprise!

Val's prize was two of "Hilda's flying ducks, the third had been shot down by Eddie Yeats, and one of the remaining two had been badly wounded.

And it's Arthur! Oh, what a popular lad he was!

Here is Michelle, who won the doorprize of 3 flying duck fridge magnets.

Reesa is seen here sporting a handsome pair of Jack Duckworth specs, complete with wad of tape!

Carolyn gets the tacky beads, oh lucky, lucky girl!

Pam can now look at the world through rose coloured glasses, just like Deirdre.

Ann, who of course had Arthur stolen, with a "Maureen" type hair thingy. Tasteful? NOT

Here is that Arthur again, he sure did the rounds that night, but went home finally with Hazel.

Bring him back for a visit next Pingfest Hazel, he had such a good time at this one!

Must be later than I thought at this point, or they are all totally soused! Louise, Maxine and Mary Rose are nodding off, and Val is out for the count completely, and falling over! The few still awake are Lois, Ann, Sarah, Erica and Heather.
