Geralidne Moffatt was born in Nottingham and after leaving school she trained at the Bristol Old Vic. After graduation she joined Nottingham Repertory Company and appeared in various plays.
She appeared in the film Get Carter and in several Alan Owen television plays. She also had roles in The Avengers and Jason King. In 1980 she joined Coronation Street as relief barmaid Arlene Jones.
Geraldine has since given up acting to look after her two sons Dan and Sam. She is married to Walter and they live in London. Geraldine suffers from diabetes.
