Heather Moore was born in Manchester and after leaving school began working as an extra for Granada Television in 1960.
She began getting small roles in various Granada TV shows in 1964 and then got the biggest break in her career with the role of Sandra Petty in Coronation Street.
Heather remained with The Street playing the shop assistant daughter of Lionel Petty for a year but found the fame a little too much to cope with. She was constantly recognised by fans and decided the quit in 1965.
Heather married and moved to North Africa where she gave up acting.
