Played: Police Sergeant (23 October 1978) at the police station when Stan Ogden went to collect his handcart

Christopher gained a law degree at Cambridge before embarking on his acting career, training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His has played many roles in the RSC including Cassius in Julius Caesar and Mountjoy in Henry V - a role he reprised in Kenneth Brannagh's film version.

His TV credits include John Halifax, Gentlemen; Twelth Night; Pericles (BBC); The Fourth Arm; The Levels; Nicholas Nickleby; The Hound of the Baskervilles (BBC); Secret Army (BBC); Gossip from the Forest, a narrator for World in Action, Crown Court, P D James' A Mind to Murder, Simisola, and is best known for his role of Detective Inspector Mike Burden in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries.
