Frankie is Danny Baldwin's second wife. Danny is a nephew of Mike Baldwin. Frankie had an affair with Danny's best friend and when it was over, followed Danny to Weatherfield. She has befriended ex-lawyer Maya Sharma and employed Vera Duckworth as a cleaner. The Baldwins are renting Number 7 from Blanche Hunt.

Frankie discovered that Danny was having an affair with Jamie's fiance, Leanne Battersby and threw him out. Jamie disowned his father as well. Frankie dated mechanic Nathan for awhile but it was doomed. She still had feelings for Danny and Nathan knew it. Frankie and Danny divorced. Eventually, however, there seemed to be non-maternal feelings developing between Frankie and her step-son Jamie who tried to persuade her that he really did love her. They did have a brief affair but Frankie also tried a short reconciliation with Danny because of her guilty feelings. Everything was mixed up in her confused head and in the end, she realized her relationship with Jamie was wrong and so was her relationship with Danny. She left on New Year's Eve 2006.
