Sammy Chadwick Sammy ChadwickFred Gee's bookmaker with whom he ran up a debt of £85.88 - and who wanted paying immediately. An increasing desperate Fred eventually resorted to hiring out Annie Walker's beloved Rover to Sammy's wife for a week whilst Annie was away wth Mrs Taylor-Brown. Mrs Chadwick took the Rover to Blackpool for a week and abandoned it in Wigan, but, as usual, Fred just managed to get away with it !
