Paul Connor Jr is the still born son of Liam and Maria Connor. Paul was born on 30 April 2008 but he was not due until July. Paul was named after Liam's deceased brother Paul, who had died 10 months earlier.
Maria told friend Sean Tully's boyfriend Marcus Dent, a midwife, that she had not felt her baby move for a few days. After an emergency scan Maria was told that her baby had died on 28th April 2008. Maria didn't tell Liam and went to stay with her boss Audrey Roberts. Liam found out from a midwife that his wife had lost their son and he and Maria split briefly. They held Paul's funeral on 9th May 2008 with Liam carrying his son's tiny coffin. Liam and Maria got back together. Liam died in October the same year when Maria was 6 weeks pregnant with their second child, Liam Connor Jr.
