Phil Simmonds Phil SimmondsA tenant in one of Duggie Ferguson's flats, who was evicted by Vinny Sorrell. Fellow resident Toyah Battersby was so annoyed by his treatment that she ensured Duggie's illegal tactics were publicised in the Weatherfield Gazette, bringing his financial downfall.
He was later found to have raped Toyah in the ginnel behind the Rovers Return, but despite positive DNA evidence denied the charge.
