in Derbyshire. She came to stay at the Rovers Return to stay with Annie
Walker when they went to a Ladies Night at the Assembly Rooms run by Weatherfield
Masonic Lodge. This should have provided the ideal opportunity for Annie to act
at her regal best; unfortuantely chauffeur "Frederick"
left her purse on the Rover roof and the "town's well-known ex-mayoress"
was refused entry as she didn't have a ticket. Annie wasn't amused...
