July 2000: Two young theives break into No3 and steal some ornaments and jewelery which has great sentimental value. Emily is very upset, has an alarm fitted and Spider moves back in for a few nights. At the end of the month Norris Cole finds himself homeless - to his total disgust, Monica gives birth on Norris' bed at Vera Duckwirth's B&B; Rita Sullivan offers a strictly short-term sofa, and so Emily takes in a lodger again...
November 2001: Spider returns from touring round the world and approaches his auntie for a loan to set up a juice bar in London. She doesn't have enough savings, but sells No3 on a capital release scheme on the advice of financial advisor Richard Hillman. Norris Cole is worried about this and finds out that the company who bought No3 is owned by Richard Hillman - not illegal, but certainly sharp practice. However, Emily seems satisfied and loans Spider £15,000. After Richard dies, in 2003, Gail has the deed returned to Emily.
2006: After a burgalry, Rita and Norris trade abodes for a short time.
Emily signed over the deed to Norris on the proviso that she live there as long as she wants. New Year's Day, 2016 Emily goes to Peru to help nephew Spider with charity work. As of summer 2017, she is still there. Current residents, Norris Cole, lodger Sean Tulley.
