2010: Nick buys the old premises and turns it into a bistro to be called The Joinery to be run with Leanne. Prior to this, Leanne and Peter were going to renovate the space and open the bar themselves but when Peter got drunk near opening night, the place was abandoned utnil Nick bought it. The tram crashes in December, killing Ashley Peacock and Molly Dobbs and an unnamed taxi driver outside the restaurant. Nick rebuilds in 2011 and calls it Nick's Bistro.
2014: Nick and Leanne are divorcing. Nick renames the bistro "Just Nick's" but is later named back to Nick's Bistro. Staff includes Steph Britton as waitress/sometime manager, Andy Carver, Stella Price.
2016: Nick, about to marry Carla Connor, sells half the Bistro to Robert Preston who is Tracy Barlow's ex-husband and current boyfriend at the time. Tracy blackmails Carla into pushing the sale through and taking Nick to move to Cornwall. Nick finds out at their wedding reception in the Bistro and dumps her. Nick reunites with old love Leanne.
2017: Leanne has a baby by a one night stand with Steve McDonald. Nick's jealousy is uncontained and he leaves Weatherfield, selling his half of the Bistro to Robert Preston who is now living with Michelle after her marriage to Steve broke up in the wake of finding out about the one night stand and the baby.
