Skinner decides to sell the bookies, manager Rob
Lucas assumes he's sealed the deal until Peter
Barlow 'borrows' £5,000 of his money, gambles with it
and raises the £40,000+ needed to buy the bookies from under
Lucas's nose. Peter gives him the £5,000 back as a redundancy
payment.
August 2003: Peter was uncovered as a bigamist and leaves the street. He sells the shop and flat to an unnamed owner.
2007: Harry Mason buys the bookies and he and his son, Dan run the shop. later in 2008, Harry sells the shop to Peter Barlow who returns from Portsmouth after Lucy had died and Peter has custody of his little boy, Simon.
2009: Peter gets drunk and falls asleep. Flat catches fire from Peter's cigarette. Peter and Simon are rescued in time. Flat and shop are renovated and decorated.
2015: Peter rents the shop to Tracy Barlow and Rob Donovan who put a second hand shop in, Barlow's Buys. After Rob and Tracy split up, Tracy changes it to a flower shop, Preston's Petals.
