Monday (2478, Monday 31 December 1984)
Bet and Gordon Lewis are interviewed for the managers job at The Rovers. Elaine Prior returns from Southampton but runs into trouble from Kevin. Meanwhile the regular's celebrate New Year's Eve at The Rovers.

Tuesday (2479, Wednesday 2 January 1985)
Sarah Ridley calls at The Rovers and tells Bet she's to be the new Rovers manager. Elaine fails to persuade Kevin to change his mind about moving to Southampton and Hilda takes in a new lodger, Henry Wakefield.

Wednesday (2480, Monday 7 January 1985)
Kevin is determined not to go to his father's wedding and Bill Webster persuades Percy that it's time he took over.

Thursday (2481, Wednesday 9 January 1985)
Bill Webster marries Elaine Prior and leaves for his new life, Hilda is very taken with her new lodger and things start to hot up between Bet and Frank.

Friday (2482, Monday 14 January 1985)
Designer Christine Millward finally catches up with Mike Baldwin in The Rovers and persuades him to look at her designs at the Factory. Betty, fed up with the staff shortage at The Rovers decides to do something about it herself but Frank Harvey shoots down her suggestions.

Monday (2483, Wednesday 16 January 1985)
Mike Baldwin lures Christine Millward to his flat on the pretext of talking about her designs. Meanwhile, Hilda discovers that Henry has been seen in the Reference Library in Manchester in the middle of the day when he was supposed to have been working.

Tuesday (2484, Monday 21 January 1985)
Mike likes Christine's design ideas and has a few samples made. Henry confesses to Hilda that he doesn't have a job at all and Frank plans a night out with Gloria

Wednesday (2485, Wednesday 23 January 1985)
The factory girls start production on Christine's Flying Suit designs and Mike persuades Christine to go to London with him to sell the product. Hilda insists that her lodger, Henry Wakefield should stay, despite lying about his job and persuades Mike to consider giving him work.

Thursday (2486, Monday 28 January 1985)
Kevin takes up Emily's offer and moves in with Curly. Mike takes Christine Millward down to London to see if they can market her clothes designs and Phillis tries to persuade Percy to take her to the Valentine Day Dance but with little success.

Friday (2487, Wednesday 30 January 1985)
Mike and Christine seem to be having a fine time in London and the designs are going well. Emily is not too sure about having the two boys in her home and Phillis is still hoping that Percy will take her to the dance.

Monday (2488, Monday 4 February 1985)
Because it's Bet's first day as manageress of The Rovers, she takes on Jack Duckworth as the cellarman. Mike Baldwin and Christine Millward return from their successful business trip to London and Christine's husband becomes jealous of their relationship.

Tuesday (2489, Wednesday 6 February 1985)
It's Hilda Ogden's birthday! Bet tells Gloria that she can't work there anymore and Christine and Mike arrange to meet one evening - and it's not about business!

Wednesday (2490, Monday 11 February 1985)
Ida summons a union meeting, Mike and Christine enjoy a cosy twosome and Bet employs Wilf Starkey as cellarman.

Thursday (2491, Wednesday 13 February 1985)
The Community Centre dance is livened up by a drunken Henry Wakefield who has been sacked to prevent a strike. Alf and Rita get cosy together and so do Shirley and Curly, and Christine and Mike renew their relationship.

Friday (2492, Monday 18 February 1985)
Hilda is furious that Henry has been hounded out of The Street and Sally calls the Gazette about the job of trainee reporter.

Monday (2493, Wednesday 20 February 1985)
Percy heads the hunt for Henry and Ivy apologises to Hilda and asks for forgiveness.

Tuesday (2494, Monday 25 February 1985)
Hilda finally tracks down Henry Wakefield in the public library but fails to persuade him to come home. Mavis hears she's won a magazine competition in the name of Mrs. Derek Wilton and the star prize is a second honeymoon in Capri.

Wednesday (2495, Wednesday 27 February 1985)
Mavis is horrified when her second honeymoon story is published by the Gazette and Ken and Sally have a row when he hears she provided the information to clinch a job there.

Thursday (2496, Monday 4 March 1985)
Mavis' wedding saga hits the national press and Derek makes matters worse by trying to explain the situation. Ken hits the first snag on his DIY venture and Deidre comes to the rescue.

Friday (2497, Wednesday 6 March 1985)
Ken completes his DIY wall units and is inspired to have a go at installing his own central heating. Meanwhile, Harry Clayton and Connie hit trouble with Andrea over her exams.

Monday (2498, Monday 11 March 1985)
The new driver at the factory looks familiar but Ivy can't remember where she's seen him before and Harry Clayton asks Ken to speak to Andrea about her leaving school.

Tuesday (2499, Wednesday 13 March 1985)
Bet is scheming to make Hilda's predictions come true but there is a surprise in store for her and Andrea decides to stay on at school.

Wednesday (2500, Monday 18 March 1985)
Nicky has to be brought home from play-group, Vera tells George Wardle that Ivy will do his washing and Stella Rigby invites Bet out for a hen-party with other land-ladies in the area.

Thursday (2501, Wednesday 20 March 1985)
Gail and Brian argue about whose job should suffer while Nicky is ill with chicken-pox. Ivy finds the washing a bit of a chore and Bet gets ready for her big night out.

Friday (2502, Monday 25 March 1985)
Gail and Brian begin to fall out over parental duties and George Wardle warns Brian about being over protective towards Ivy.

Monday (2503, Wednesday 27 March 1985)
Bet throws a buffet for her 'friends' and ends up entering the Rovers for the 'Brainiest Pub of the Year' Competition. Gail and Brian fall out and George asks Ivy out.

Tuesday (2504, Monday 1 April 1985)
Gail puts pressure on Brian to move out and Bet lumbers Ken with the captaincy of the Rovers quiz team.

Wednesday (2505, Wednesday 3 April 1985)
Gail decides to leave Brian and whilst Hilda looks after The Lowthers house, she is burgled.

Thursday (2506, Monday 8 April 1985)
Ivy and Audrey have no luck trying to persuade Gail and Brian that they should get back together and Terry and Curly try to set up their own removals business.

Friday (2507, Wednesday 10 April 1985)
Ivy finally manages to persuade Brian to go and get Gail but when he arrives at Audrey's house he finds she's gone off to a bedsit with Nicky.

Monday (2508, Monday 15 April 1985)
Brian makes no effort at reconciliation, much to Gail's dismay, and Jack finally agrees on a price for his car.

Tuesday (2509, Wednesday 17 April 1985)
The Rovers narrowly lose the quiz and Terry and Curly buy a car which breaks down that very evening.

Gail is living in a horrible bedsit away from Brian and Jack buys Vera a roll of material for their anniversary.

Thursday (2511, Wednesday 24 April 1985)
Connie's making Vera a dress with Jack's material, Curly and Terry have more discussions with Kevin about the car and Gail and Brian finally kiss and make up.

Friday (2512, Monday 29 April 1985)
Gail and Brian are re-united and make plans to find a larger home. Although Ivy is disappointed that they are not returning to her house, she asks Alf if he can 'pull any strings' with the Council Housing Department. Terry Duckworth secretly dates Andrea Clayton and Vera tries to persuade Jack to take her to the Town Hall Dance.

Terry takes Andrea Clayton to the theatre while his friends think he is trying to sell the car and Jack finally agrees to take Vera to the Town Hall Dance.

Tuesday (2514, Monday 6 May 1985)
When Vera refuses to pay Connie's dressmaking bill, Harry is forced to step in and lay down the law with Jack. George Wardle accepts an invitation to tea from lonely Ivy and Terry tells Curly and Kevin that he used the car for his date with Andrea.

Wednesday (2515, Wednesday 8 May 1985)
Despite Harry's attempts to soothe Connie, the Clayton's feud with the Duckworth's escalates and ends up with a slanging match in the street. Ivy and George get closer.

Thursday (2516, Monday 13 May 1985)
George invites Ivy to a rugby match, Andrea agrees to go on a date with Terry and Curly and Kevin argue over sleeping arrangements.

Friday (2517, Wednesday 15 May 1985)
The feud over room arrangements continues between Curly and Kevin. George and Ivy use Baldwin's van for the rugby and during the match, it's vandalised.

Monday (2518, Monday 20 May 1985)
Ivy and George find the courage to tell Mike Baldwin about the vandalised van and Kevin finds new lodgings with Hilda

Mike Baldwin lets George and Ivy off the hook and Connie and Harry Clayton return home unexpectedly to find Andrea entertaining Terry.

Harry and Andrea clash over her liaison with Terry and Emily is shocked to see Curly tucking into one of Hilda's meals

Thursday (2521, Wednesday 29 May 1985)
Terry reveals that he was the one who paid the dress bill and his efforts to end the feud raging between the Duckworth and Claytons comes to nothing.

Friday (2522, Monday 3 June 1985)
Mike wines and dines businessman Don Ashton to persuade him to complete a deal in cash. Don agrees but then leaves the four grand in the Rovers. Vera and Jack insist Ivy goes on holiday with them but Ivy is not keen.

Monday (2523, Wednesday 5 June 1985)
Hilda finds a briefcase. Bet and Mike hear from the police that the owner, Don Ashton died the night before and George asks Ivy to go away with him.

Tuesday (2524, Monday 10 June 1985)
An envelope containing £4,000 has disappeared from a briefcase that's been left in the Rovers and Mavis and Rita hear bad news about their holiday hotel in Majorca.

The thief is found and Bet is not sure how to handle the situation. Michelle goes to tea with Hilda

Brian and Gail Tilsley move into their council house and Bet gives Wilf another chance.

Brian and Gail plan to have George and Ivy to dinner and Terry and Curly decide to buy Mike Baldwin's van for removals.

Ivy tells George that she wants a church wedding and Michelle asks Kevin to tell Terry that Andrea is pregnant.

Thursday (2536, Monday 22 July 1985)
The Clayton's are fuming over Andrea's pregnancy as they don't want the Duckworths to be part of their family. Alf has plans afoot for the corner shop which Deirdre knows nothing about and Ken is worried about Tracy's interest in her real father.

Friday (2537, Wednesday 24 July 1985)
Jack Duckworth has found out the hard way about Terry's baby and Andrea thinks that in spite of the family's offers to look after the child she may have an abortion. Ken worries that Tracy may move away if she discover he isn't her real father.

Monday (2538, Monday 29 July 1985)
Hilda stalls over selling her house to Alf, Connie is delighted when Andrea is persuaded to drop the abortion idea and Ken and Deirdre have a row over Tracy's surname.

Tuesday (2539, Wednesday 31 July 1985)
Terry makes a sincere appeal to let him be involved with Andrea and the baby and Ken finally explains to Tracy why she has the surname 'Langton'.

Wednesday (2540, Monday 5 August 1985)
Percy becomes ill and blames the café. Frank, the barman from Blackpool turns up at the Rovers and takes Bet out for a meal.

Thursday (2541, Wednesday 7 August 1985)
Hilda gets an estimate for the roof repairs and disappears without telling anyone where she's going. Gail sends Phyllis to nurse Percy Sugden in an attempt to teach him a lesson.

Friday (2542, Monday 12 August 1985)
Hilda has gone missing. Terry is still upset about the situation with Andrea, and Frank has some news for Bet about his job in Blackpool.

Monday (2543, Wednesday 14 August 1985)
Hilda has decided to tell Alf what he wants to hear. Andrea gets her A-level results. Frank seems to be happily established at the Rovers - and Wilf is so incensed that he takes drastic action.

Tuesday (2544, Monday 19 August 1985)
Hilda goes house-hunting. Terry Duckworth announces that he's leaving home.

Wednesday (2545, Wednesday 21 August 1985)
Hilda makes a decision about moving house. Frank makes himself indispensable at the Rovers.

Brian and Gail meet their new next-door neighbour, Terry is brooding about his life, and a row breaks out when Vera calls on the Claytons.

Friday (2547, Wednesday 28 August 1985)
The Clayton family are upset about moving, but convince Sue that they have to go. Terry gets drunk at the Rovers - but will he be in time to take out his wrath on the Claytons?

Monday (2548, Monday 2 September 1985)
Vera's birthday looks like being an unhappy one - until she gets a surprise visitor. Bet and Frank don't seem to be making any headway at the Rovers.

Tuesday (2549, Wednesday 4 September 1985)
Jack is broke after his birthday treat for Vera and Terry. Connie finally gives way to her anger. Alf has another dinner with Rita.

Wednesday (2550, Monday 9 September 1985)
Alf gets drunk and proposes to Rita, Sam asks Phyllis to go on the bowling club outing with him and Bet opens the mini-market as Miss Weatherfield 1957.

Thursday (2551, Wednesday 11 September 1985)
Rita responds to Alf's proposal. Percy is duped into taking Phyllis on the bowling club outing. Frank Mills makes an announcement about his future.

Friday (2552, Monday 16 September 1985)
Bet takes off on a cruise with Frank Mills, leaving Betty to cope. Phyllis thinks that Percy is playing hard to get. The rift between Rita and Alf continues.

Monday (2553, Wednesday 18 September 1985)
There is much speculation as the Rovers' stock and accounts come under brewery scrutiny, and Betty is appointed as a temporary manager. Terry's van job goes awry when he gets landed with some unwanted furniture.

Ivy worries whether George is stringing her along regarding the wedding. Alf imposes a strict regime at the corner shop. Terry makes moves on Rita.

Ivy and George are reconciled when George agrees to a church wedding. Rita agrees to allow Terry to rent the yard for his own business.

Thursday (2556, Monday 30 September 1985)
Audrey turns up with man problems. Bet returns from her cruise to find Betty acting as manageress, and a row breaks out.

Friday (2557, Wednesday 2 October 1985)
Percy has to sit next to Phyllis on the bowling trip to Stockport. Bet has an interview at the Brewery. Audrey takes great interest in Alf and his new shop.

Monday (2558, Monday 7 October 1985)
Percy and Phyllis have missed the return coach from Stockport. There's news for Jack Duckworth regarding his job at the Rovers - and George has some news for Ivy about their wedding.

Tuesday (2559, Wednesday 9 October 1985)
Ivy confides in Gail and Brian. Percy tells Sam that he intends to ignore his warning about Phyllis.

Tracy Langton wants a dog. George explains why he lied to Ivy.

Ken interviews Susan Barlow for a job at The Recorder and Curly Watts is over the moon. Jack falls off his ladder whilst cleaning Dulcie Froggatt's windows, and Bet decides she wants him to continue working at the Rovers.

Thursday (2566, Monday 4 November 1985)
Jack Duckworth is in hospital with a broken ankle after his fall. Curly asks Susan Barlow out for a drink but she refuses after deciding to go back to Newcastle.

Friday (2567, Wednesday 6 November 1985)
It's Jack Duckworth's birthday and, after a whip-round at the Rovers, Terry and Curly send a gorilla kissogram to cheer him up in hospital. Ken talks to Susan about Deirdre wanting her to stay in Newcastle and they are soon friends again. Ivy refuses to go out with George.

Monday (2568, Monday 11 November 1985)
Audrey helps Alf with some decorating but Mavis suggests they employ a professional. Terry and Curly are in dispute over the sale of their junk, and after some gentle persuasion from Vera, Brian goes to see Ivy and cheers her up.

Tuesday (2569, Wednesday 13 November 1985)
Alf is dithering about hiring a professional for the decorating, and Audrey has thoughts on matrimony. Curly finds out that his clock is an antique and sells it to Reg Dawson for £200. Gloria fancies Frank even though Terry warns her off.

Wednesday (2570, Monday 18 November 1985)
Audrey stands in for Deirdre at the corner shop. The factory girls decide they want time off for Christmas shopping, much to Mike Baldwin's disapproval. George turns down Ivy's invitation for supper and Bet gets dressed up for her big night out.

Thursday (2571, Wednesday 20 November 1985)
Bet still hasn't returned from her night out. George turns down another invitation from Ivy, and Bet eventually returns to the Rovers. George and Pauline Walsh are spotted out for the evening together.

Friday (2572, Monday 25 November 1985)
Susan Barlow arrives to stay at Ken and Deirdre's. Curly dresses up in the hope of seeing Susan, but finds out she already has a boyfriend. Pauline tells Ivy that she's seeing George Wardle

Monday (2573, Wednesday 27 November 1985)
Hilda tells Jack Duckworth of a 'system' for winning on the horses. George Newton arrives to see Bet and she has to be dragged back from Frank's. Susan has some big ideas for her dad's newspaper.

Tuesday (2574, Monday 2 December 1985)
Susan starts working for Ken at The Recorder. Audrey borrows Alf's car to drive to Birmingham and Jack and Hilda start backing horses using Stan's new system. Ivy tries to see George, but he doesn't keep the date.

Wednesday (2575, Wednesday 4 December 1985)
Audrey still hasn't returned with Alf's car and he is starting to get worried. Ivy tells George of her decision to marry him - but he refuses. Vera finds out about Jack and Hilda backing horses.

Thursday (2576, Monday 9 December 1985)
Audrey is having trouble getting Alf's car repaired and has to admit that she damaged it. After losing his temper, he makes up with their first kiss and they're soon off celebrating with champagne. Jack loses a bet with Vera's money whilst using Stan's 'well-tested' system.

Friday (2577, Wednesday 11 December 1985)
Audrey tells Brian and Gail that she is going to marry Alf - after choosing the engagement ring, they announce their plans at the Rovers. Susan is drumming up new business at The Recorder, much to Ken's delight, and Sam offers the services of his dog, Dougal, to catch the rat at Terry and Curly's yard.

Monday (2578, Monday 16 December 1985)
Alf and Audrey are busy making preparations for their wedding. Sam Tindell's dog seems to have caught the rat in Curly's yard, and Emily and Mavis discuss Christmas dinner arrangements for Percy and Phyllis.

Tuesday (2579, Wednesday 18 December 1985)
Alf holds his stag party in the Rovers while Audrey celebrates at Brian and Gail's. Emily invites Phyllis and Percy for Christmas dinner and Terry and Curly find out that Sam has been deceiving them about the rat in the yard.

Wednesday (2580, Monday 23 December 1985)
It's the day of Alf and Audrey's wedding and preparations are in full swing. At the wedding reception in the Rovers, Bet is suspicious about Frank and Gloria and Vera is cross with Jack's interaction with another lady. Meanwhile, Ken and Deirdre are very concerned about Mike and Susan getting so close.

Thursday (2581, Wednesday 25 December 1985)
It's Christmas Day on the street. Vera's turkey is a bit of a let down, and Jack and Ivy reminisce about the good old days when chicken and turkey were something special. Meanwhile, Frank kisses Gloria under the mistletoe but she soon puts a stop to his advances and Mike and Susan arrange to meet for a drink, much to Ken and Deirdre's dismay.

Friday (2582, Monday 30 December 1985)
Mike invites Susan to a party in London to celebrate the New Year and she accepts. Frank turns nasty with Gloria after she rejects his advances and Audrey and Alf return from their honeymoon in Paris.
