They really should get better soundproofing in the ladies loo at the Rovers Return. Tracy's in there locked away behind the door just long enough to overhear Carla lay into Leanne about necking with Nick.  Tracy tells Leanne she's not going to keep this secret, it's good gossip, and she spills the beans to Ken and Deirdre only to be put out that they already know and don't care.  Armed and dangerous with her gossip, there's only one place left to go and it's just a matter of time before she tells Peter.

There's all kinds of weird going on at the Websters this week. First off, Rosie borrows baby Jack to take to a fashion shoot but ends up bringing the wrong baby home. Kev's not best pleased, as you can imagine, but when he asks Sally for help, she blanks him.  “That baby will never, ever, have anything to do with me,” she reminds Kevin before storming off to the Rovers to get chatted up by a fella called Jeff. Ah, but this Jeff is really Rosie's agent called Alfie. Why's he lying? Tune in next week to find out.

There's trouble behind the bar of the Rovers when
Tracy starts working there. Well, Steve and Becky have gone and taken the kids to Spain to see Liz, leaving Lloyd in charge of alcohol, women and Betty behind the bar. And of course it's all set to go very wrong indeed when Tracy starts bickering with Tina. Notice she hasn't had the guts to start on Betty just yet.

Meanwhile, Fiz takes her sorry self to Joy Fishwick's funeral in an attempt to kid the solicitor that she's Joy's daughter in law, wife of Colin, which she sort of is in a very soapy way. Chesneys not keen on her sister commiting fraud, which you can well understand, but Fiz is at desperation's door with her hand on the handle marked ‘push'.

And not much more happened this week.

Hello update readers, it's me back filling in for Glenda again as she enjoys a much deserved rest for a few days.  And without further ado let's get down to business with the happenings down in Weatherfield this week.

Armed with the knowledge that her brother's a cuckold, Tracy decides to shock her parents with the information, except of course they already know and aren't shocked in the slightest. Tracy wants to stir up trouble (let's face it, it's all she ever does, she's a one dimensional character with no redeeming features whatsoever and we don't love to hate her as the producers like to believe, we just hate her and we want her off our favourite TV show because she's spoiling it) by telling Peter about Leanne and Nicky but for once Deirdre and Ken present a united front to their daughter and reckon it's best to let sleeping dogs lie as it's all in the past and Leanne has promised to be a good girl in future.

Meanwhile Nicky has decided to get out of Weatherfield and go to work for his Uncle Stephen in Italy, despite the fact that work is almost finished on The Joinery. Being incredibly stupid and despite all evidence to the contrary, he thinks that this would be a great chance for him and Leanne to start a new life together so he buys her a ticket to Milan too. She makes her feelings perfectly clear, again, and dumps the ticket in the bin where it is found by Peter. He puts two and two together and manages to wheedle the truth out of Tracy, who confirms his suspicions and tells him that Ken, Deirdre and Carla know all about it too. He's naturally seething but plays things cool as he devises a plan and asks his saviour, Nicky, to be his best man at the blessing the next day.

On the day of the blessing, Simon is dead excited; he's made a Valentine's card for his dad to give to his new mam; and declares that nothing would make him happier than to have a little brother or sister. At the church Peter gets Simon to wait outside, promising he won't miss anything special as he makes his way inside and walks unaided down the aisle to await his wife. Leanne arrives to the sound of 'Trumpet Voluntary' (it doesn't have to be played on a trumpet says Roy) and the vicar gets on with the blessing. Ken and Deirdre say how much Blanche would have enjoyed the day and I guess they're right but probably for the wrong reasons.

Peter interrupts the proceedings and presents Leanne with a letter from his solicitor saying he wants a divorce and then lets rip. He tells the congregation everything, decrying all those who knew about the affair and didn't tell him and storms out of the church as well as anyone can with dodgy legs and a crutch. Leanne tries desperately to convince Peter that she loves him and everything could be ok but he's having none of it, believing that she'd only married him in the hospital because she thought he was on his death bed and if he hadn't pulled through she'd be with Nicky now. Ken and Deirdre are left to break the news to Simon who is going to be heartbroken, the poor little mite.

"I am more than just a tomato", declares Rosie in a metaphor I didn't quite understand when she complained about being dropped by her agent, Alfie, and she's even been taken off his website. She whines to her mother about the downturn in her career but Sally is distracted by the attentions of a new man, Jeff, who wines her and dines her at Drumson's, which looks like it's the new Delphine's or The Clock. Meanwhile her other daughter's been missing lectures and is down in the dumps because Sian is going on holiday with her mam to get away from the chaos of the Webster household.

Sophie tries to discuss things with her mam but as usual, Rosie's problems are considered more important and appalled that Alfie asked Rosie to do some sleezy topless work, Sally decides to go round and give him a piece of her mind. Only it's not Alfie, it's Jeff, they're the same person, let's just call him Jalfie from now on, and surprise surprise, his version of events is subtly different from Rosie's. He turns up at the factory on Valentine's Day with a big bunch of roses and manages to sweet talk Sally, who invites him round for dinner. He works his magic with Rosie too and she's back on the books. Sally and Jalfie's romantic dinner is interrupted by Kevin who's picked up a couple of prospective buyers, in the Rovers, Lloyd and Cheryl, in full knowledge that Sally's entertaining her new fella.

Elsewhere, Cheryl gives the cab office a makeover and wants to get rid of our favourite chair but relents and just covers it with a throw.
And that's it for this week.

This week's writers were: Mark Burt, Martin Allen, Ellen Taylor and Chris Fewtrell.

After last week's goings on at Peter and Leanne's blessing we now have to deal with the aftermath. Poor little Simon is well upset that he's lost another mother and he has a right go at his dad, telling him he wants Leanne back … and toast. But there's no Leanne and they've run out of bread so he'll have to make do with Peter and a bowl of cereal. Peter's still mad as hell at Leanne and the man he blames for all this, Nicky. He heads over to The Joinery, which is in the process of being rebuilt after the tram crash, and confronts the simpering little mummy's boy. Despite being faced by a man who can barely walk, even with the aid of a crutch, Nicky is clearly scared of what Peter might do to him with the crowbar he's holding.

Peter threatens murder and 'forces' him to drink a bottle of scotch which Peter tells him is anaesthetic for what's to come and when Nicky tries to make a run for it Peter hits him with the crowbar, knocking him to the ground. He follows up with a crashing blow towards Nicky's head and smashes the crowbar into an old can right next to him, giving him the fright of his life. Shame he didn't do the job properly and finish him off. Who could have blamed him and he's a Barlow so chances are he would have got off just like his sister. Chastened by his experience, Nicky goes scuttling off back to his mam.

Meanwhile, Leanne has been barred from seeing Simon and with Peter refusing to even talk to her she decides she'd be best off packing her things and heading off to that London to stay with our Toyah. She goes and collects her things from the flat but Peter won't even let her say goodbye to Simon. Ken intervenes and tries to get Leanne to stay and Peter to forgive her but they're both too stubborn and proud, despite clearly wanting to be together. Leanne goes to the station and eventually Peter chases after her only to see the train pulling out as he hobbles along the platform. Fortunately she wasn't on it and the two of them kiss and make up. A couple of questions are outstanding though: Why were they at Manchester Victoria when there are no direct trains from there to London? And will we ever get to hear Simon's best man's speech?

Steve and Becky are back from their trip to Spain. Quite how they afforded it when the first thing on their mind on their return is their money troubles, is anybody's guess. The loan from the bank has come through but it's less than they wanted and so Lloyd is going to have to wait for the repayment of the money Steve borrowed from Streetcars. Fortunately Steve manages to win a few grand at the casino, so Lloyd thinks his luck's in but Steve has other plans for the money. Dev is in dire straits as the corner shop wasn't insured when it was destroyed in the tram crash. He owes money to Owen for the work that's already been done on the shop (which seems to have turned into a hypermarket) and he's behind on the mortgage payments for the house. His other businesses are in trouble too, thanks to the recession, a Freshco's Fasttrack, asbestos and some long-term roadworks and he goes to see Steve to ask him if he can help out with a loan of 5000 quid to tide him over. Feeling guilty about Becky having robbed the cash from the shop in the aftermath of the crash, Steve comes clean to Lloyd about it all to explain to him why he'll have to wait a bit longer for the money he owes the business.

After overhearing a conversation in the cafe and seeing the mess Tyrone's made of his t-shirt by not separating his whites and his coloureds properly, Julie decides he's going to be her next project. She goes round to see him, taking with her food and drink and proceeds to Feng Shui his living room by moving the sofa around a bit. They end up cozying down on the sofa after supper and red wine. Who knows where this may lead?

Elsewhere: Claudia's worried that she's not getting any off Marc; Sophie's been kicked out of college but wasn't happy there anyway; Tina's friend Xin has turned up with accommodation and money problems; and Faye comes to stay the night with the Windasses.

And that's it for this week.

This week's writers were: Joe Turner, Jan McVerry, Debbie Oates, Julie Jones and David Lane.

Hello again update readers. With a steaming cup of coffee and a slice of my neice's bestest chocolate cake, let's get right down to Weatherfield to see what's been happening this week. Though to be honest it's not been a great one.

Find out more about the Coronation Street Weekly Updates and why they've been written for th'internet since 1995 at http://www.corrieweeklyupdates.btinternet.co.uk

In the dead of night and making sure that he's not seen, Steve posts an envelope full of used tenners through the Alahan's letter box. Dev and Sunita soon work out that it must be from whoever looted the shop after the tram crash and it must have been someone they know. But having the money back isn't enough for Dev, he wants justice so the pair of the um and ah and ah and um for what seems like an eternity over whether to call in the police. When Steve tells Becky what he's done, she points out that his DNA will be all over it and if the police get involved he'll be bang to rights in no time. Faced with the prospect of another spell in the big house Steve goes to see Dev and Sunita and owns up to the theft and then after telling Becky, she does the same and gets thrown out of the newly refurbished shop. There are then some very harsh words from Steve to Becky as he gives her one last, final, never again, no absolutely not, chance … again. All very tedious for this viewer. I like Steve and Becky as a couple, there's great humour and affection there but we just seem to be going round in circles with them.

When he isn't finishing the corner shop in double quick time, Owen's plotting revenge on Eileen. Knowing that Eileen's going to be out, he pinches Jason's house keys while he's in the toilet and breaks in to Eileen's to look for the dodgy dossier. Back at the yard he puts his books in order and shreds all the incriminating evidence before calling in the police. Eileen is arrested for fraud and taken in for questioning where she immediately confesses all and is very contrite, all of which means she gets away with a caution. When she gets home, she finds that the dossier is missing and when she confronts Owen he admits he took it but there's not really anything she can do about it except tell everybody, including Izzy, what a scumbag he is.

Over in the hairdressing salon, David is getting all high and mighty. He's now calling himself "Creative Director" and is nicking all Maria's clients, so she quits. Meanwhile Carla is all disorganised in the Underworld office since Michelle left. Hmmm, I wonder where this could be leading. Carla says that all she needs is someone with common sense, so why she offers the job to Maria, who can't walk and chew gum, when Julie and Sean are both angling for it is anybody's guess? When it comes to dealing with fishy Frank, we find out that what Carla was after was not common sense after all, but a pretty face and a pair of breasts.

As well as bigging up his job at the salon, David is in love with a girl, Candy, who he met on holiday in Tenerife. So enamoured is he, that he proposes to her by text and she accepts. His mother and grandmother are absolutely horrified that he should propose to someone he hardly knows. If they think that's bad, just wait until the meet her and find out who she really is.

In other news, Julie was worried that something might have happened at Tyrone's when she woke up the morning after on his sofa, without her bra on, but it turns out it was just a bit of Dirty Dancing brought on by too much red wine and the pair of them eventually make their peace. And what's happened to Graeme? Since he took up with Tina, his spark seems to have gone. It's about time he had a look down the back of the sofa.

And that's it for this week.

This week's writers were: Damon Rochefort, Mark Wadlow, Peter Whalley and Jim Cartwright.
