Greetings and welcome to the Coronation Street Weekly Update. Without any further ado, here we go with this week's Coronation Street update.

Tracy tempts Steve to tea with a Freshco's finest quiche. I'd have been there meself if I'd have known she was serving one of those. She shoos Ken and Deirdre to the Bistro for a meal and settles down to a cosy family tea with Amy and Steve for some banter over the Barlow table. And then before you know it, it's snogtastic and then it's the morning after the night before. "Mission-ary accomplished!"sings Tracy to her mum as a whole nation of Corrie fans barfed into their barms. Steve tries and fails to sneak out quietly and falls prey to clingy, needy Tracy. Showing a pair of balls we never thought he had, he tells Tracy he wants nowt to do with her which huffs her up, as you can imagine and she storms off back to that London with little Amy in a taxi. Give her nine months and I bet she comes back with Amy and another little present for Steve.  As Lloyd told Steve: "Play with fire, you get your fingers burned. Sleep with fire, you get yer…"Ahem!

Meanwhile, Becky and Clarkey have split up. "I would like to put a flea in his ear,"says a sympathetic Roy.  She speaks to Steve about him sleeping with Tracy as little Amy spilled the beans to her about daddy sleeping over.  Mr and Mrs Mc agree to move on, separate and go their own ways. Much like my bosom in a bad bra I once had.  Anyway, Becky then applies for, and gets, a bar job at Nick's Bistro.

Elsewhere, Doc Carter refers Gary to see a psychiatrist. He should also do the same for his mother as it looks like she's falling for Owen after he takes her and FAYe to the flicks. Am I the only person left in the world who calls them flicks? I can't be, can I?

Love's in the air, once again, for star crossed lovers, Brian and Julie after Brian returns Dylan's cardigan to Coronation Street and bumps into Julie. He tells her he's free of his missus now and they agree on a date.

Also loved up are Audrey and Marc and just when you thought that the goddess that is the fragrant Mrs Roberts couldn't get any better, she just goes and does.  Marc asks her to attend a LGBT event with him as Marcia and at first she's not sure, but she says yes. Afterwards they head for a hotel bar for a drink where Marcia gets a bit of stick from two fellas and it's Audrey who defends him, in a wonderful scene. "When I want your opinion, I'll bob yer a text,"she tells one of them before throwing red wine over them both.  Go on there, Audrey.

Over at the Alahan's, Amber upsets everyone by staying out all night with Tommy Duckworth and revealing that she's been kicked out of Uni.  Dev's head's spinning trying to make sense of it all.

And finally this week, David and Gail convince Kylie she can look after little Max and she decides to go for custody of her son.  It's a good storyline, acted well, I'm quite enjoying this one. Paula Lane as Kylie is a cracking little actress and I just hope they don't do what they did with her on-screen sister Becky and shove her down our throats for the next few months so that by the time Christmas comes we'll all be sick of the sight.

And that's just about that for this week.

This week's writers were Mark Wadlow, Carmel Morgan, Jonathan Harvey, Damon Rochefort and Ellen Taylor.

Greetings and welcome to the Coronation Street Weekly Update. Without any further ado, here we go with this week's Coronation Street update.

If you'd like your Coronation Street weekly updates with pictures and fun stuff, then you might enjoy the Coronation Street blog:  http://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.comand perhaps even follow it on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/Corrie_Blogger  Find out more about the Coronation Street Weekly Updates and why they've been written for th'internet since 1995 at http://www.corrieweeklyupdates.btinternet.co.uk

It’s all change this week on Coronation Street as Dev the diplomat kicks Tina out of the shop flat so that daughter Amber can move in. Dev thinks he’ll be able to keep a watchful eye on Amber but he’s going to need eyes in the back of his Dev-head if he wants to keep track.  And is it just me, or does anything else think that Amber has changed, and not for the better? I liked the chirpy, cheeky little madam of an Amber that we used to have, not this stroppy cow that’s flirting with everyone from Tommy Duckworth to Sian.  And so with nowhere to live, Tina moves in with Tommy and Tyrone. There’s a dull storyline with Tommy double dating Tina and Amber but that boy Tommy’s so wooden I won’t press on with this because I just might fall aslee… zzzz.. .

Over at the Bistro, Becky starts work as a waitress and loses her cool with the customers when David and Kylie come in to eat. Then she shoves it to Steve who brings in a date to wind Becky up. Steve’s date’s called Beth, she’s an old flame from years ago, someone he went out with just the once (and you can see why).  Beth brings with her son Craig, who’s Corrie comedy gold. He doesn’t say a word, just stares and sucks on his Coca-Cola straw.  He needs to come back, he was that good. Anyway, Becky gets the sack and as there’s no one else to help, Gail gets the job of waitress for a night. She fawns all over the restaurant reviewer from the Weatherfield Gazette.  "My name’s Gail and I’ll be your waitress this evening," she curtsies at him before dropping a false Gail nail into his pasta dish.

Meanwhile in the salon, it’s Happy Hardcore Monday as David and Kylie take over for the day when  Audrey takes Monday off. I can’t see the Renshaw Twins being very happy with Happy Hardcore, can you?  Anyway, Kylie offers flakey-reiki, upsets Rita and Betty, puts Julie in agony and word gets back to Audrey, as you hoped it would. It’s Gail who goes round to Audrey’s to share the story of shame from the salon but Audrey’s got her hands full painting Marc’s nails and putting on his make-up to transform him into Marcia.  So to stop Gail finding out that Marc’s got a face full of slap, he throws himself into a white chocolate gateau and covers his face with cream.  Gail doesn’t seem to think anything’s wrong, takes the explanation that Marc’s wearing a face-pack and dawdles off back home with Marc and her mother’s secret kept safe.

Elsewhere, in one of those classic soap moments, Chris starts crying and shouting at anyone who’ll listen: "I’ve got a brain tumour!".  We can only hope his end will be swift, he’s been a waste of space since he first turned up.

In other news, Fred Elliott’s butcher shop now has a For Sale sign up outside. And at Streetcars, Fat Brenda rings in sick with the sound of seagulls in the background.  “She’s on the beach with a bag of chips,” says Lloyd. Steve can only agree.

And that's just about that for this week.

This week's writers were John Kerr, Joe Turner,  Jayne Hollinson and Jonathan Harvey.

Greetings and welcome to the Coronation Street Weekly Update. Without any further ado, here we go with this week's Coronation Street update.

It's all going off in the salon this week and Audrey's had enough. What with Kylie's fakey reiki she's doing her customers' heads in, and putting their noses decidedly out. Audrey decides to tighten the reins, books David on a business training course and puts Kylie back on nails where she can do least harm.

Over at the Rovers, it's Stella's birthday and Leanne delivers a card, which she gives to Tina who passes it to Eva who rips it up and chucks it away. Stella strops at Leanne for not giving her a card and then blames Eva for being a mardy cow when she finds out the truth. Stella's too brittle for my liking, I'm not warming to her just yet.  And was Corrie deliberately playing "Isn't She Lovely?" on the Rovers jukebox when Stella came on screen, hoping it'd help us win our struggle to warm to the new Rovers landlady?

Meanwhile, Julie goes on her date with Brian. Wearing a gorgeous red and black dress (available here: http://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.com/2011/08/get-look-julie-carps-red-and-black.html ) Julie surrenders herself to love in the shape of Mr Packham. "I'm offering you the full English, here!"  Unfortunately for Julie, nerves get in the way and she has a few drinks before the date, and then a few more. And one for the road and then another, just in case. And by the time the two of them are nibbling at Nick's bistro Julie's drunk and jealous of Brian flirting with Eva and Julie's date of fate goes a bit Pete Tong.

Elsewhere this week, Chris and his brain tumour move into Lloyd and Cheryl's house. With nowhere else to go and no one to look after him, Lloyd does the (far too) decent thing and allows his partner's bully-boy, wife-beating fella to move in while Maria bleats across the cobbles as another of her men decide to die. Mind you, it's got to be preferable to living with her, she doesn't half go on about nowt. Liam died. Tony Gordon died. And now Chris will die too. She's the kiss of death, that Maria one.

In the pub, Frank gets down on one knee and proposes to Carla with a mahoosive  ring and a smirk on his face. Carla's less than impressed. "This is a farce," she snarls at him. "Get up!"  And get up he does, determined to find out why Carla's turned him down so when he hears from Dev that Carla's been arguing with Peter in the shop, he knows that Carla's still got the hots for Peter Barlow and that's why she turned his proposal down. When he puts all this to Carla, she denies everything, even though it's true, and agrees to marry Frank, saying it's him that she loves, even though it's not.

And finally this week, Fat Brenda's gone to Zumba, which apparently is a dance class, and not an island off the coast of Tenerefee, which I thought it was.

And that's just about that for this week.

This week's writers were David Lane, Mark Burt, Martin Allen, Jan McVerry and Peter Whalley. Find out more about the Coronation Street writing team at:

Greetings and welcome to the Coronation Street Weekly Update, written as I celebrate my birthday today. After writing the update and posting it to th'internet, I'm off out for birthday cake with my family,  then a long walk on the beach with my lovely man followed by a meal out tonight.  Corrie weekly update readers who have been with me for some years and have done the maths, will know I've reached 21, again. And so, without any further ado, here we go with this week's Coronation Street update.

If you'd like your Coronation Street weekly updates with pictures and fun stuff, then you might enjoy the Coronation Street blog:  http://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.com and perhaps even follow it on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/Corrie_Blogger  Find out more about the Coronation Street Weekly Updates and why they've been written for th'internet since 1995 at http://www.corrieweeklyupdates.btinternet.co.uk

There's all sorts going on at Roy's Rolls this week when Sylvia decides to take charge, and charge she does. She charges for use of the ketchup, the salt, the pepper and the loo. The customers are up in arms, complaining hither and thither but it's water off a duck's back to Sylvia, she's intent on pushing up the profits and woe betide anyone who gets in her way. And that person is Norris, who nicks the key to the loo, demanding his right to a free pee. Well, Sylvia spots him and locks him in there overnight. Oh dear, what can the matter be? Norris Cole is locked in the lavatory. He was there from Friday to Monday and nobody knew he was there. Except Sylvia did, you see. Mary's fretting about Norris' whereabouts, convinced he's been kidnapped by Al Qaeda and just when she's wondering which one of the Suchet brothers will play him in the film of his life, Sylvia unlocks the door to the lavvy and Norris is free. Well, I tell you, Mary is Not Best Pleased and calls a council of war with Emily and Dennis to demand that Norris is given compensation for his night in the netty. It's agreed that Norris, Mary, Emily and Dennis will be given a slap-up banquet at Roy's and that Sylvia will play waitress, as an apology for her behaviour.  And while Sylvia serves up the food, she does not and will not say that she's sorry.  She does give a wry smile to Dennis though, she's got her eye on him.

In prison, Fiz grasses up the drug dealer and gets herself beaten up for being a grass.  I don't understand this. Fiz wouldn't grass up her husband who was going round murdering people but suddenly, she's banged up with a bunch of no-hopers and she's grassing them up left, right and centre. Mind you, she does get a place in the mother and baby unit in exchange for the information on the drugs runner she's given to the Guv'nor (played by Norma from Shameless).

Julie and Brian finally get together after Eileen and Dennis set them up to meet once again. "You need to be proactive," Marcus says to Julie after she moans about being single. "I'm a woman, Marcus, not a yoghurt!" she replies, in some wonderful dialogue from writer Carmel Morgan.  Julie's over the moon to be back with Brian and he (and these are his words, not mine) tell Julie he can't wait to get his sausage fingers around her nimble waist.

Elsewhere this week, Audrey asks Marc to move in with her and he says yes. Of course he says yes, he's onto a good thing with the goddess that is the fragrant Mrs Roberts but it seems to me that she's getting the short end of the stick once again.

Meanwhile, Gail goes all guns blazing after Kylie as David's away and Kylie's flirting with some fella in the pub.  When Kylie refuses to come home and leave the bloke in the pub, Gail locks her errant daughter in law out of the house.

And finally this week, Frank does his best to get Carla and Leanne back on talking terms instead of trying to rip each other to shreds on the Street.  It kind of works, but when Carla and Leanne give each other a girly hug, Carla gives Peter a look behind Leanne's back, yes, that kind of look. Ooh, it's all going to go so horribly wrong, I can just feel it.

Right, I'm off to celebrate my birthday, see you next week.

This week's writers were Chris Fewtrell, Simon Crowther and Carmel Morgan.

Greetings and welcome to the Coronation Street Weekly Update.

There's been some wonderful scenes in Corrie this week, it really is cracking on with some fantastic dialogue and strong acting performances from cast old and new.  The strongest story for me was Kylie spotting Audrey out with Marc in full Marcia mode and filming the two of them on her phone. Kylie then tried to blackmail Audrey into giving her the job back at the salon but it all backfired on poor Audrey when Marc decided to come out of his designer closet to Audrey's closest mates in the Rovers Return. Audrey was mortified. Gail was speechless. Sally went all Daily Mail and Marc knew he'd made a very big mistake when Audrey dumped him later, telling him his cross dressing was all a bit much.  Gail then kicked Kylie for upsetting Audrey and when David returned from his hairdressing course, it all kicks off in the Platts just like on Jeremy Kyle.  "I've just made a fool of myself again," cries Audrey to Gail over losing her lovely, lovely Marc.  Well it's not the first time, and it wont be the last.

Meanwhile, Fiz is in a tizz in priz when the girls call her a grass, break into her new room at the mother and baby unit and threaten little Hope. Tyrone visits Fiz and she tells him about the drugs coming into the prison so Tyrone follows the dealer out onto the streets, determined he won't let his friend Fiz be bullied inside.

Dr Carter tries out his bedside manner on Tina as the two of them swap tips on looking lovely, having shiny hair and brilliant white teeth. Tommy is officially not best pleased.

Katy and Chesney have their baby scan at the hospital and Owen goes along, because he hates not to be sticking his oar in somewhere. He does however ask the hospital if there's a chance that Katy's baby could be born with the same condition that Izzy has, something that Katy had considered but Owen forces her to think about seriously.

Speaking of Owen, he's set his cap at Anna now that Eddie's gone abroad and she agrees to a night in the pub with him. But FAYe has other ideas, she wants Anna to herself and so she nicks Owen's phone and sends Anna a text to tell her he wants nowt to do with her any more. Gary puts the pieces together, Anan finds out what FAYe has gone and done and she sends her to bed without any tea.

Right, I'm off , see you next week.

This week's writers were Julie Jones, Jonathan Harvey and John Kerr.
