CORONATION STREET WEEKLY UPDATES |
NEW FOR
KINDLE... February 4 2013 Lewis the lothario,
the charmer, gigolo and conman leaves this week with Gail’s shattered life
in his hands and forty thousand of her pounds in his bank. After Gail falls for his scam to
take her off to th’Italy to live in a villa in style, Lewis puts his plan
into action to take Gail’s cash after she takes out a loan on her
house. As he sits in the
Bistro office, he tries to log on to Gail’s online bank but hasn’t got the
password. As he struggles with it, in comes Kylie for a rest on the sofa
so Lewis quickly hides under Nick’s desk and Kylie doesn’t know he’s
there. Then Nick comes in, has a quiet word with Kylie but not quiet
enough for Lewis to overhear every word - and Kylie’s baby secret’s
out. He
blackmails Kylie into giving him Gail’s password (Bethany2000 in case
you’re wondering) and robs Gail of her all her cash. Before heading off
into the sunset with the stash, he tells Gail he’ll meet her at her house
so they can break the news to the family together that they’re about to
run off hand in hand for a new life in the sun. But Lewis doesn’t turn up, not in
the flesh anyway. Instead, he sends Nick a text advising him to pop Gail’s
“Italian for Lovers” Audrey and
Gail have a major falling out, as you can imagine, and it’s hard to feel
sorry for Gail as she’s brought this on herself. With her house in hock to
a loan company, no fella, no cash, no job, Nick takes pity on his mum and
takes the weary widow of Weatherfield back on at her old Bistro job. Eileen has a giggle, as you knew
she would. Then Audrey comes
up with a plan after she hears that Gail can’t afford to pay the loan on the house. She
offers David and Kylie the money for a deposit on the house which would
mean they could get a mortgage on it. “Where am I going to live?” asks
Gail. “You’d be their lodger,” says Audrey. “Over my dead body,” replies
Gail. Elsewhere
this week, Sylvia waltzed back into Elsewhere,
Tyrone’s fighting a losing battle for custody of baby Ruth although Social
Services allow him access, but only when it suits Kirsty of course. As if
things weren’t bad enough, Tyrone’s solicitor tells him the best thing to
do is plead guilty of assaulting Kirsty to get things over and done with.
At first he considers this hare-brained scheme but then comes up with an
even harer one, telling Fiz he’s going to kidnap the baby and do a runner
with Ruby. Over at
Underworld, Speaking of
Kirk, things are getting tense up in Maria and Marcus’ flat. Darryl the
rat escapes and is found snuggled in Maria’s best bra, so she’s not that
happy about the extended stay her visitors are taking at her expense. It’s
time they moved out. Oh, if
only there was an empty flat on a Street somewhere, that Kirk, Beth and
Craig could move into. If only. And that's
just about that for this week. Remember, you can sign up to get these
