Carla’s back from overseas. She told everyone she was going to Madrid but she’s been to Las Vegas getting rid of her cash in a casino instead. Not only has she been gambling all her own money but Underworld’s accounts are over thirty thousand in the red. It’s fair to say things don’t look good. Confronted by Michelle, Nick and Roy who stage an intervention in her flat, Carla knows she has to do something, but what? She tells the factory girls she’s moving away and putting the factory up for sale. Sally’s straight in there with high hopes of buying the place and while Carla’s out of the office, Sally opens the company accounts to see what state the books are in before she makes her offer to buy. When Carla finds Sally at the computer looking at the accounts she sacks her on the spot. “Drop dead!” Sally yells in response before walking out in a huff.

Sally takes her huff all the way over the road to Kevin where she tells him what’s happened and asks him if he’ll buy into the factory with her. The two of them get close on the sofa and with Tim away visiting his dad in Wales, Sally leans in to her ex-husband for a kiss. Kevin pushes Sally away and then Tim returns home, asking Kevin to be his best man at his wedding to Sally. Ooh, awkward! But Sally diffuses the situation beautifully. “I’ve got a Vienetta in the fridge, if anyone wants some?”

Over at Callum’s flat, Max finds Callum’s gun tucked away at the back of a cupboard in his bedroom. He thinks it’s a toy and threatens to pop Callum with it. Sarah’s shocked and stunned and packs hers and Max’s clothes and rushes back home with her nephew. Callum knows he’s gone too far and that Sarah could use the gun information against him in the custody battle so he shows her the pics on his phone of Bethany delivering drugs for him, and smoking a joint. When Sarah gets home Kylie call tell something terrible’s happened between her and Callum but Sarah keeps quiet, for now.

At Roy’s Rolls, Cathy makes herself useful helping Roy in the café although she’s starting to get on Roy’s nerves. With her penchant for pop music on the radio in his flat upstairs and using too much bleach on the café tables downstairs, Roy’s at the end of his tether with her.

Over at Barlow’s Buys, Michael and Eileen sell the bracelet they found on the floor at Streetcabs, believing it to belong to an obnoxious customer who’d dropped it in there. Then Liz reveals to Eileen that she’s lost Deirdre’s bracelet that Ken gave to her and says she can’t forgive herself for the loss. Eileen and Michael feel dreadful. They assume they’ve found and sold Deirdre’s bracelet to Todd, who won’t give them the bracelet back. Anyway, they buy the bracelet back for much more than they sold it for, only for Liz to then announce she’s found Deirdre’s bracelet that she thought that she’d lost. It was all a bit convoluted but it made Michael realise that Eileen, perhaps, isn’t the right woman for him after all. She even had him attempting to break in and rob Barlow’s Buys with a kitchen tool.

And finally this week over at the Bistro there’s a new chef in the form of Tracy’s ex-husband Robert Preston.
