Newcomer Scott arrives at the Rovers Return, he’s Jenny and Johnny’s new B&B guest who’s staying for a few weeks. He’s tall, dark and has a pulse and Liz is on him like a wasp on flypaper. Eileen too comes in for a look at the fella, even Sean throws his hat into the ring until his gaydar tells him Scott’s straight. Now, you’d think Johnny would be happy to have a paying guest at the Rovers, especially one who wants to stay for so long, but Scott’s arrival rattles Johnny something rotten. He won’t tell Jenny why, and us fans are left in the dark too. But there’s something about Scott that upsets Johnny and he tells Jenny he needs to get away, far away, perhaps to see daughter Eva in France. Best line of the week was Rita sidling up to the bar between Liz and Scott and him asking her if Rita was her mum. Oh, the look on Rita’s face!

Elsewhere this week, Asha has a crush on young Corey and strips naked for him on video chat. She’s fourteen years old, she’s only known Corey for ten minutes and she does this? I’m old, out of touch, so what do I know? Sigh. Anyway, Amy holds a party at Steve and Tracy’s house and the party invite goes viral and loads of gangly teenagers turn up fuelled by testosterone, hair gel and cheap cider. It was never going to end well. Tracy’s precious lamp gets smashed, one couple are found jumping up and down on Tracy and Steve’s bed, Tasha the Slasher’s nails put a hole in Tracy’s fleece and, gulp, someone nicks Steve’s signed photo of Weatherfield FC’s Tommy Orpington that he keeps by his bed.. But worst of all is (dead, evil drug dealer) Rick Neelan’s daughter Kelly is jealous of Asha and Corey. She knows Corey’s filmed Asha naked and picks up Corey’s phone to send the video to everyone at the party. Asha’s mortified and horrified. Me too, that this storyline is playing out with a 14 year old girl. I’m no Annie Walker, but this has got me clutching at my pearls.

Gemma gets some help this week after Dr Gaddass diagnoses postnatal depression and gives her some pills. Off you pop, love, back home with four babies, tablets will help you cope. No, they won’t. She needs at least three extra pairs of hands. She gets one pair at least when Chesney says he’ll be staying home with her to care for the quads. In his place at the kebab shop, Gemma’s mum Bernie starts work and drives Cathy up the wall.

Over at Stillwaters, Ken is up against Charles for the post of resident association chairman. He asks Charles for a copy of the rule book and Charles is evasive so when Norris finds the book in Charles’ sports bag, Ken realises that Charles has lied to them all. “Look!” Norris exclaims as he reads through the rules. “We CAN walk on the grass!”

Leanne’s on the warpath with Steve this week over leaving their son Oliver with Summer. Oliver took poorly left alone with Summer and gets checked over in hospital where he’s found to be okay. We haven’t really seen Oliver, or care about him, so I’m not sure where this storyline is going except it made me wonder why Tracy and Nick Tilsley have never got together before?

And that’s just about that for this week.
