Sam Interrogates Harvey

Nick and Sam meet up with Karis, the facilitator and head into the prison. In the prison visiting room, Sam interrogates Harvey. Harvey concedes that he intended to murder Leanne. When Harvey reveals that his Mum died when he was 14, Sam reckons it must have caused him to go off the rails. Sam asks Harvey some awkward questions about his Mum and Harvey strides out. In his prison cell, Harvey is clearly rattled by Sam’s visit. Picking up Sam’s most recent letter, Harvey sets about reading his questions.

Hope Has a Killer Idea

Tyrone opens the door to the outhouse only to discover the books have vanished. Fiz and Tyrone confront Hope over the missing John Stape books. Hope makes out she lobbed them in a bin on Tile Street. Hope calls to see Sam and tells him she made £75 flogging her Dad’s book. Hope joins in a group chat entitled ‘Legacy of Evil’. Hope types a message to her classmates informing them that tomorrow she’s planning a special tribute to John Stape.
Hope steals a hammer from Tyrone’s tool box and hides her cash in a tin in a cupboard. In the factory, Beth shows Sally the chapter in the John Stape book about his affair with Rosie. In the school corridor, Hope approaches a couple of year 11 girls and tells them that she’ll be giving a reading from the John Stape book later. Fiz is furious to find Sally reading the John Stape book and a row ensues. At No.9, Fiz and Tyrone are deeply concerned to discover the hammer missing from the toolbox and a stash of cash in a tin in the cupboard. When Hope overhears the two year 11 girls calling her a nut job, she pulls the hammer from her bag, and heads towards them. How far will Hope go?

Ken's Acting Advice Falls Flat

Brian and Mary attend rehearsals at the Community Centre with Ken and Nigel. Nigel confides in Ken that he’s going to approach an actress friend with a view to replacing Mary. Ken, Brian and Wendy tentatively suggest to Mary that she should tone down her performance. But Mary won’t be deterred. Ken and Brian suggest to Nigel that he asks his actress friend to give Mary some coaching rather than replace her as she’d be terribly upset.
In the community centre, Nigel introduces his actress friend to Brian, Ken and Mary. Ken’s surprised to realise it’s Martha, his ex. How will Ken and Martha react when they come face to face?

It Takes a Village

As Stu panics about getting Eliza to school on time, he’s put out to discover Yasmeen has already made her breakfast and Alya has plaited her hair for her. Stu pins a timetable of Eliza’s hobbies to the kitchen cupboard door and asserts that she’s not to miss out on anything as she’s had enough upheaval. Yasmeen looks at the list of activities with concern.

Leanne Practises Her Sales Patter

Debbie shows Lynne, a potential buyer, around the bistro. Leanne does her best to sabotage the sale. Having found out about Leanne's game, Debbie tells Nick and Leanne she’ll force the sale of the whole bistro. Nick takes a call from Karis telling him that Harvey wants Sam to visit him again tomorrow.

Jacob Covers for Summer

When Jacob admits that he’s been covering for Summer and filed a client file in the wrong place, Carla issues them both with a warning.

The Battle For Coronation Street

In his flat, Griff announces to Ollie, David and Spider that Maria’s planning to turn the community centre into a place for refugees. Maria’s furious to find Griff and Spider handing out leaflets claiming that refugees will be taking over the community centre at the expense of local people.
