It Hits the Fan
Emotions are running high at The Rovers, with both Ben and Will angry with Maggie for their own different reasons. When Ben suffers a dizzy spell Maggie wants to call an ambulance but Ben insists she leave it and instead tell him the truth about his Dad. Knowing she is beaten, Maggie finally tells a stunned Ben that Alan was not his dad, she had a one night stand and keeps his biological father’s identity a secret. But, when Steve arrives at the pub and says he has left Ollie and Amy together at number 1, Maggie’s reaction shocks everyone - is she going to have to come clean about Jim being Ben’s father?
Ben struggles to deal with the truth that Alan is not his dad.
In the Rovers, Ben stares at a photo of himself as a child with Alan, the man who he thought was his Dad. Eva assures him that Alan loved him like his own son. When Maggie enters, Ben makes it clear he wants nothing to do with her. Maggie’s cut to the quick.
Sam Can't Escape!
In the Kabin, Leanne and Toyah argue about Sam’s counselling requirements. Will finds Sam in the bistro and offers him an apology. Sam reluctantly shakes his hand but it’s clear he still doesn’t trust him.
Toyah tells Sam to stop worrying about Megan and Will but at the swings he tells Hope he has been reading up on grooming cases. When Will approaches, Hope makes pointed digs about his elderly girlfriend. How will he react?
As Will chats to Liam in Victoria Garden, Sam approaches and spells out to Will that his campaign of intimidation won’t work. Will feigns innocence for Liam’s benefit. Will returns home and tells Eva and Maggie how Sam accused him of intimidation for no good reason. Eva storms into the bistro and rounds on Nick, Toyah and Leanne, telling them how Sam has been making false accusations about Will.
Sam is shocked when he sees Megan and Will at the precinct and rushes to tell Nick, Toyah and Leanne. At the pub Eva summons Will who swears blind that he hasn’t left the pub all morning. Sam leaves, upset and frustrated.In the salon flat, Sam curls up on the sofa, consumed with anxiety and paranoia.
Nick suggests to Ben that Will might like to join Sam for a pizza as it would be good if the lads could be friends. Ben agrees whilst Sam masks his unease. As Sam leaves the corner shop he thinks he sees Will and hears his voice, calling him a loser and telling him that nobody cares if he lives or dies.
Nick summons Sam to the café and reveals that he’s arranged for him to play chess with Roy.
Debbie Gets Released
At the Rovers, a jubilant Kevin tells Gemma that Debbie won her appeal, however when Ronnie calls in and reveals that Debbie’s gone missing, Kevin’s thrown into panic. Carl finds Debbie on the swings and is genuinely pleased to see that she’s been released.
Tracy and Mary meet up with a bride and her mother at the Chariot Square to discuss wedding flowers. As Debbie serves the Champagne she makes some ill-judged remarks. The bride’s mother is taken aback and Ryan watches with concern.
Abi suggests to Summer that Debbie might not have been driving the car on the night of the crash.
Ronnie is horrified to discover that Carl has asked Debbie for 10k to pay off Fiona and that she is giving it to him, as long as he works to pay it off. Ronnie decides to call Fiona, what will he discover?
Debbie is flustered when Summer comes to the hotel and asks outright if Carl was driving the car the night Billy died. As Ryan passes with two very hot plates, Debbie grabs them, desperate to get a way but they burn her hands and she drops them.
Debbie gets her latest scan results and is not surprised to discover things have got worse. In the cafe Ronnie is angry to find Carl flirting with Jodie and squares up to him for his lack of concern. After Carl tells Debbie about their run in, Ronnie calls at the hotel and making out he’d like to start afresh, apologises to Carl. But is he being sincere?
Over lunch at the hotel, Debbie tells Carl that she’s considering dance lessons. Carl pulls her to her feet and teaches her the waltz. Ronnie watches as Debbie laughs and smiles. On the street, Carl spells out to Summer that if she wants to know who killed Billy she needs to stop pointing the finger at him and look closer to home.
Jodie Stirs Things Up
When David reveals that he’s got the day off and he plans to spend it watching movies, Jodie decides to pull a sickie and join him.
At No.8, David confides in Jodie that he’s swapped their broken wheelie bin with Lisa’s nice new one. Jodie is amused and as they banter David’s impressed to realise he’s met his match.
Jodie confides in Gemma that she’s been onto Mal’s website and left him numerous poor reviews in the hope of ruining his business as a way of getting revenge for Bernie.
When Roy reveals that Mal’s been in touch to say he’s moving back to Inverness Gemma explains to Bernie how Jodie left a series of bad reviews on Mal’s website, that’s why he’s leaving and she should be pleased.
Sally Pushes Tim
Sally tries to talk to Tim about Tricia but he refuses to discuss it and heads out to the garden.
Sally waits in Freshco car park while a nervous Tim heads into the store to confront Tricia.
Over a pint, Tim confides in Steve that even if he does manage to catch up with Tricia, he’s no idea what to say.
Sarah Ignites Todd Into Action
Waiting to make sure Theo has left Sarah pleads with Todd to let her in. Reluctantly, Todd covers the doorbell camera and ushers her inside. As she quizzes Todd about why he is not replying to George’s messages they hear Theo returning, what will they do?
Sarah shares her concerns for Todd with Christina and Summer. Gary orders Theo to pick up the rest of his tools and makes it clear he never wants to see him again. On Gary’s advice, Sarah meets up with Danielle in the bistro and asks her if Theo was ever violent towards her. What will she say? Todd’s shocked to see them with Danielle whilst Theo’s incandescent.
Theo returns home and, pulling Todd in for a kiss, tells him that his contract has come through and they’re moving to Belfast on Monday. Todd forces a smile.
A couple of things...
Lisa announces that her divorce has finally come through. Carla takes Lisa to the cafe to celebrate leaving Jodie to mind Connie.
When an estate agent arrives a downbeat George ushers them inside.
