Theo Continues to Play Mind Games

Todd and Summer sing Happy Birthday to Theo. But as he unwraps his presents he’s clearly underwhelmed. In the bistro Theo invites Gary and Maria to join him for his birthday lunch as Todd is running late at work. As he rushes in, Theo shoots him daggers. With lunch over, Theo hands Todd the bill and insists they treat Gary and Maria. Todd sheepishly tells Nick that he’s only got £80. Back at home, Theo accuses Todd of ruining his birthday and orders him to get a bottle of wine. When Todd suggests coffee instead, Theo loses it.
As Todd tidies up the broken crockery from last night’s fight, he tells George he won’t be coming into work, while Gary clocks Theo waking up in his van. Theo makes out that Todd’s worried about money and they had an argument. Todd makes some soup but when he can’t get the blender to work, he loses his temper and throws it. Gary arrives to pick up some clothes for Theo and surveys the mess. Upset, Todd tells Gary that he wants to patch things up. Having been summoned by Gary, Theo calls at the flat to talk.
Alone in the flat, Todd worries that Theo could return at any time. At the undertakers, an agitated George receives another funeral cancellation. In the Rovers, George, Christina, Sarah and James rally round Todd in a bid to cheer him up, but when Todd spots Theo, he’s overcome with emotion and leaves. Theo follows and suggests they need to talk. As James guides a drunken Todd home, Theo watches from the shadows.
Theo overhears Summer telling George how James stayed the night on the sofa. In Speed Daal Theo clocks Adam with a client, when Gary reveals it’s Annie, the woman accusing George of fraud, Theo sidles over.
A gloomy George listens as Todd and Christina read out fake news articles destroying his reputation. In the Rovers, Maggie reads the same and worries that the pub will be tainted by association. Spotting George in the bar, Maggie labels him the local conman and tells him he’s no longer welcome. When Todd and Christina leap to his defence, Maggie bars them too.
Theo tracks Todd on his app.

Jodie Tests Adam

Adam spots Jodie walking the dog and gives her a lecture about the importance of cleaning up dog muck. Jodie paints on a smile whilst inwardly seething.
David the dog cocks his leg on Adam’s new car. Adam’s furious but Jodie fails to take him seriously. In the café, Tracy spies the dog behind the counter and threatens to report Jodie to environmental health. Meanwhile, Adam suggests to Alya they reward themselves for all their hard work and book a holiday. Alya’s delighted but when she receives a text, she’s clearly thrown.
Adam confronts Jodie with the bag of dog poo. Jodie denies all knowledge but David can sense she’s lying. Adam tells Daniel and Alya about the incident. When Alya’s phone rings with a call from Rich, she quickly rejects it. Daniel tells Adam that the only way he’s going to solve it is to catch the poo-perpetrator in the act. Jodie and David attach another bag of poo to Adam’s car and run off giggling.
As David and Jodie giggle about their poo bag escapade, Lily tells them they won’t be laughing when they see the Weatherfield Community page. A worried Jodie tells David that if her ex boyfriend sees the video, he’ll be able to track her down. David promises to have a word with Adam.

Maggie Creates a Tricky Triangle

When a glam Amy reveals that she and Ollie are off out on their first proper date, Lauren bristles. As she hands over some drinks, she stumbles and accidentally soaks Amy. How will Ollie react?
Amy’s buzzing after her night out with Ollie. At the Rovers, Ollie reveals that he’s taking Amy for dinner at Speed Daal later. Steve and Ben are delighted. Maggie pulls Lauren to one side and orders her to go home, dress to impress and get down to Speed Daal to show Ollie what he’s missing. Ollie and Amy are getting on well but when Lauren calls in looking a million dollars, Ollie can’t tear his eyes away.
Ollie rounds on Maggie for using Lauren to sabotage his date with Amy. Lauren admits to Ollie that she really likes him and wishes they were still together.

Sam Gains an Ally

Sam arrives at the bus stop and is promptly sick. Leanne rushes him home. Leanne voices her concerns about Sam to Nick, she knows he’s worried about his exams but can’t help thinking there’s more to it.
Leanne confides in Megan that she’s concerned for Sam and senses something is bothering him. Megan assures her she’s worrying over nothing. Assuming she’s alone, Megan flirts on the phone with Will. When Leanne emerges from the bathroom, Megan’s horrified.
Sam calls at the flat to pick up his books. As Leanne heads out, Megan takes the opportunity to have another dig at him. Leanne shares her concerns about Sam with Daniel and apologises for interrupting his and Megan’s flirty phone call the night before.
Leanne, Nick and Toyah discuss Sam’s work regime and agree that he’s pushing himself too hard. When Megan cancels her date with Daniel, Leanne’s interest is piqued.
Hope rightly suspects that Sam is being bullied and urges him to stand up to whoever it is because bullies are cowards at heart. Megan warns Sam that if he voices his ludicrous theory about her and Will, nobody will believe him. Taking Hope’s advice, Sam asserts that he’s not afraid of her anymore.

Jim's Death Stirs the Street

Steve admits to Tim that he’s avoiding Cassie because he’s not sure that he wants to get married again.
Steve invites Ben to Jim’s funeral, admitting he could do with some moral support. Tim’s jealous and points out that he at least knew Jim, unlike Ben.Ben wakes up with a hangover. Eva’s disapproving and reminds him that he’s due at the hospital for his echocardiogram. Back, having missed his appointment, Maggie’s further agitated. Eva tells Maggie that whilst she realises Jim’s funeral must have stirred up memories of losing Ben’s Dad, she mustn’t take it out on the punters.
When Ben explains he’s going to Jim’s funeral to lend Steve some moral support, Maggie’s disparaging. Steve’s nervous as he sets off with neither Liz nor Andy attending as they washed their hands of Jim a long time ago. The funeral over, the mourners gather in the Rovers. As Declan and Davey (two of Jim’s army mates) regale Steve with tales of Jim’s past, a sour-faced Maggie reminds Ben that he’s got a hospital appointment in the morning and suggests it’s time they were making tracks.

One more thing...

Alya is given a grim ultimatum. She meets up with her old boss from Fabians. What is she up to?
