'' I am 55 years old, picture taken last year,
but I have now lost nearly 2 stone....! I am a social worker -
specialist in the mental health field. I was born in Hampshire
but spent early years in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I moved to Sunderland
with my parents in 1961.
My dear wife Carole and I celebrate 30 years of marriage later this year. Carole is a nurse (Health Visitor) and got her M.B.E. for services to nursing in last years Birthday Honours List.
I have only been a fan of CS for a year or so, I used to think it was pretty dire!
My principal hobby is ham radio / computing. I also enjoy walking
and going to the pub. (The pic shows me enjoying one of my hobbies!)
Carole opened a clinic in Bangladesh 3 years ago and that occupies
a lot of our time. We are going back in the autumn for a couple
of weeks. We have a son, Simon, who is a nurse (operating theatre
charge nurse) and he is my best pal next to Carole!
Incidentally, I live about 2 and a half miles from Pat Mulvena.
She might not know it but she will pass my house on the way to
town!
My fave characters are Sir Roy, Raquel and any other lovely. I
also enjoy Norris and Derek's sparring, and where is Fred Elliott
at the moment, I say, where......?''
