June Barry has had a career that has spanned over thirty years. Her television debut was as Annie Walker's daughter Joan Walker in Coronation Street that she played in 1961 when the character married school teacher Gordon Davies.

June's career on television continued when, in 1967 she played June Forysthe in the drama The Forysthe Saga. For her role in Four of Hearts she was nominated for a television actress of the year award and other television roles in Mixed Doubles, Kate, Seasons Of The Year, Jo, Manace, Feydeau Farces, Spring and Autumn, Honey, Whodunnit, Jackonory, The Dick Emery Show, Moon June, The Lady Killers, Like I've Never Been Gone, Jackonory Playhouse, We'll Meet Again, Young Sherlock, A Walk Under Ladders, Dempsey and Makepeace, Streets Apart, The Bill, Moon and Son and Mulberry.
