A Scot from Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, Eric has made the Manchester area his home for 17 years. He studied theatre at the Bristol Old Vic at age 19 and spent a few years in London before moving to the northwest, joining the Oldham Lyceum Theatre. He has had several small parts on Corrie over the years but is better known as a loner, Mr. Moore, on Brookside.

Stage credits include: The Little Shop of Horrors (Belfast, 1998) and Dick Whittington (Oldham Coliseum, Christmas 1998) as The Dame. Pantomime Mother Goose, Stoke, 2005
