Rodney was relief manager of The Rovers Return in 1995 whilst Bet
and Vicky went on a cruise, and later the same
year whilst the Rovers was for sale.
He became quite popular with the regulars. He is an ex-policeman, and used to
work with Cyril Turpin. He was obviously attracted to Bet
Gilroy. He also plays the trombone. He introduced a karaoke night at the Rovers,
and got one up on Mike Baldwin when he tried to
sell Rodney his dodgy Mercedes.
