Leader of the Community Centre management committee who made it perfectly clear to Ken Barlow that if he continued to live 'over the brush' with a married woman (Wendy Nightingale), his job would be in jeopardy.

In March 1978 he asked Councillor Len Fairclough to resign from the council for "conduct unbecoming a council member" after being charged with being drunk & disorderly after Alf Roberts stag night

In August 1980 he attended Renee Roberts' funeral
