Len's son - who went to live
with his mother in Nottingham after she left Len for Harry Bailey.
Harry and Nellie eventually married, and Stanley's step-father
continued to bring him up after his mother died in 1964.
Stanley resented the way his father had treated his mother,
and in one act of vengence even tried to burn down Len's yard.
The gulf between them was so great that Len refused to go to his
son's wedding.
