Norma was always haunted by her fathers criminal record, and took
as job as assistant to Maggie Clegg in the corner shop to try
and escape her past. Although he did finally catch up with her,
she was relieved that she was still accepted by the residents.
She moved away from Weatherfield after being rebuffed by Ken Barlow although she persued him
for over a year.
