Paul Stringer was in the fashion business and met Suzie
Birchall whilst she was working for the Ted
Thomas Associates model agency. Although he was in his 50's,
and despite the protestations of Gail
Potter and Elsie Tanner, Suzie was attracted by the
'bright-lights' life, Paul's large Mercedees and evenings out
at Cheshire restaurants. However, it only took a few weeks for
Suzie to realise she was being used by him and she dropped him.
