Gloria worked behind the bar at the Rovers. She became firm friends with Bet
and was a bridesmaid when she married Alec. She
had an affair with Alan Bradley, until she discovered
that he was also seeing Rita Fairclough. As well
as Alan, she had a string of admirers including Bet's live in lover at the Rovers,
Frank Mills, who Bet threw out after he made a pass at Gloria. Other romantic
interest predictably included Terry Duckworth
and Mike Baldwin. In 1988 she was reconciled with
her mother who had given her away when she was 4, before leaving Weatherfield
with Sandra Stubbs' boyfriend, Pete Shaw.
