Karen Oldfield's overbearing,
officious police sergeant father. After Martin
Cheveski got Karen drunk he forbade Karen to see him, warned
Martin off, and gave Alf Roberts
a stern lecture on the possible consequences for shopkeepers who
serve alcohol to under 18 year olds.
After trying to divide them a couple of times, he gave them
permission to see each other - which had the desired effect of
breaking up the relationship.
