 June 2000: 13 year old Sarah Platt gives birth to her daughter Bethany and brings her home to live in the tardis-like three bedroomed No8.

October 2000: After months of rows following his affair, Martin Platt moves out and into the flat above D&S Hardware in 18 Victoria Street.

2000 - 2005: Sarah lives at number 8 with her daughter Bethany, brother David and David's pet rabbit Barney. Sarah moved out for awhile with boyfriend Todd but after they break up, she and Betthany move back home. in July 2002, Gail marries Richard Hillman. Richard turns out to be a very bad decision for Gail. He becomes a killer, leaving Duggie Fergusson for dead after an accident, bashing his ex wife Patricia to death with a shovel, attempting to burn Audrey's house with Audrey in it and killing Maxine peacock with a crowbar after assaulting Emily Bishop. Richard tried to drive his new family to their deaths after hurling the car into the canal. They were rescued by Martin and by Tommy Harris but Richard drowned. Gail's son Nick came back home for awhile but later moved out with girlfriend Maria Sutherland and after that relationship ended, left Weatherfield.

2009: Sarah Lou and Bethany are living in Milan. David still living at home. His ex-girlfriend Tina's father, Joe McIntyre, is living in number 8 with Gail. Sometime visitor is Gail's biological father, Ted Page.

2017: David Platt. Max Turner and Lily Platt. Sarah and Bethany Platt. Gail Rodwell.
